Head of Finance

As the Head of Finance, you will be our first dedicated hire for the Finance team, responsible for developing and leading financial functions that support SVI's continued growth. You will work closely with the leadership team, to provide tactical and strategic support in all aspects of the team's finances and collaborate with the business, people, product, and engineering teams to achieve financial targets. We’re looking for motivated individuals that are excited about learning and growing both personally and eager to improve the wider team.

  • Understands the importance of iterating not just on your work but also the process to do that work in collaboration with others

  • Has 3-4 years relevant and professional experience (with a globally distributed company is a plus)

  • Familiarity with US corporate tax laws for DE, MA (a plus, but CPA license not required)

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning all aspects of finance and accounting operations

  • Managing financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic planning across multiple function teams

  • Contributing to the systemization and streamlining of systems and processes

  • Providing analyses to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization

  • Overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting

  • Managing, preparing, and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

  • Collaborating with our People Ops team to process payroll and establish compensation structures

  • Coordinating corporate tax reporting and preparation of tax returns with outside tax accountants
